OFW guides: checking a recruitment agency before you apply

The check takes a minute. Search the Department of Migrant Workers’ register by the agency’s name and read the status beside it: only “Valid License” means that agency may recruit you.

The Department of Migrant Workers replaced the POEA in 2022, so an agency described today as POEA-accredited should hold a DMW licence and appear in that register under its own name. If it does not, it may not recruit you.

E-GMP International Corporation is a Philippine recruitment agency licensed by the Department of Migrant Workers, licence DMW-232-LB-12212023-R. These guides are for Filipino jobseekers checking an agency before they apply.

How do I check if an agency is DMW-licensed?

The steps on the DMW register, on a phone or a computer, and what each status means. Then what to check after the licence: the approved job order, the agency’s office, your OFW contract and the signs of illegal recruitment.

What is a PEOS certificate?

Every applicant for overseas employment must complete the Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar online. The guide shows how to get the certificate, step by step, and how the PEOS differs from the PDOS and the PAOS.
